Classroom text sets are vital for any unit of study.  Books allow children to research and explore people, places, and events of the Revolution in more depth.  Books can also spark curiosity about this topic and help cultivate students' enthusiasm for social studies.  To engage readers of all levels and interests, text sets should include a wide variety of inviting and meaningful books in all genres.  Make sure your Revolution unit includes both picture books and chapter books in genres such as biographies, nonfiction, fiction, poetry, and graphic novels.
